Thanks to its unique pyroelectric properties, it generates electron-activated oxygen (super oxygen O2-) on contact with water, which optimises the oxygen supply in the filter substrate and creates ideal conditions for filter bacteria. This stimulates the metabolic processes in the aquarium and activates the vitality of fish, plants and the entire aquatic ecosystem. Efficient removal of pollutants - the spherical structure enables a high bulk density and makes optimum use of the available filter space. With a porosity of 45 %, the ceramic material provides a huge surface area for beneficial microorganisms.
