The amino acids are the basis of all life. They are the building blocks of protein without which no life can develop. Aminos consists principally of essential amino acids, which the organism cannot build by itself and hence must be absorbed with the food.
ReefStar Aminos stimulates the growth of coral polyps. By enlarging the tissue surface, they are in a much better position to absorb hardness constituents and trace elements from the water, causing the corals to grow faster and to develop robust tissues and intensive colours; in short, to be healthy. Aminos enables weak corals to regenerate quickly.
Mussels reveal an increased, clearly distinguished augmentation of colour, and Aminos assist in the effective care of your invertebrates.
A new generation of amino acids are available with Aminos: highly concentrated with a dosage of only one drop per 100 litres, purest quality raw materials, no slushy algae formation, a newly developed composition, an improved storage in violet glass bottle that minimises quality loss, a plain product with specifications of the ingredients, already tested many times independently, and publicly accessible firsthand reports.
Purity
Impurities or poor quality of raw materials can foster an undesirable growth of algae or, in the worst case, its accumulation in your aquarium and lead to substantial problems. Therefore we exclusively use raw materials of the purest quality for the manufacture, which is the best qual-ity one can get. We do not use raw materials of technical, food or pharmaceutical quality, because these can constitute impurities up to 5% of the total weight. Moreover, the water used is of the highest purity with a guide value of approximately 0.06 µS/cm. Aminos does not contain any chelators, chemical additives and scents.
Ingredients
Aminos contains 16 different amino acids:
Alanine, arginine, glycine, histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, proline, serine, taurine, threonine, tryptophan, tyrosine, valine and natural preservatives.

Risks and adverse effects
Through Aminos, your corals obtain valuable energy essential for their growth. When an increased coral growth is determined, it is absolutely necessary to monitor the carbonate hardness, calcium, magnesium, strontium and iodine, because these get exhausted by the increased growth and should be additionally dosed.
For additional dosage, the trace elements and elemental iodine of ReefStar and macro elements of OceanStar are recommended.
Storage and storage life
After breaking the seal, the bottle should be stored in the refrigerator. To avoid impurity through bacteria, you should take care not to touch the dropper with fingers, or to bring it in contact with the aquarium water. After opening the bottle, Aminos can be preserved for at least 3 months. After the expiry date, unpleasant odour and clouding may occur. Please do not use Aminos after that. Please avoid heat and frost while in storage. The recommended storage temperature is 4-6°C.
